Hello, my name is Melissa Wright . I am the chairperson for the Annual Luncheon & Boutique held in October each year in the City of Torrance, California. We raise funds for Breast Cancer Angels. We will be celebrating our 22nd year of this event. I invite you to read the information provided on this site and consider attending and/or donating to this special event and organization.
This luncheon and boutique is a fundraising event held annually where guests gather together for an entertaining afternoon of boutique shopping, great food, no-host cocktails, winning prizes and more, all while raising funds for Breast Cancer Angels. A must-see are the unique
Table Centerpieces donated by each table that also serve as an
Opportunity Drawing Prize.
Breast Cancer Angels is a local 501 (c)3 nonprofit organization that provides financial and emotional assistance for breast cancer patients and their families as they are going through treatment. Some of the assistance they provide is food gift cards, gas cards, they offer rental assistance, utility assistance and help with medical co-payments. They have also paid for hospice and final expenses. Many of the individuals have children so they assist with school supplies and clothing. Every need is Considered!
This year my goal is to raise at least $15,000 to support the ongoing assistance Breast Cancer Angels provide.
Their goal is that
"No individual should have to make a choice between treatment or food."
They currently assist the South Bay, Orange County, San Diego. Los Angeles, and some of the inland Empire.

Guests are encouraged to invite their friends, family, co-workers, etc. When you gather 9 or more people
you have a table!
If you can't fill a table of 10 or more, no worries. Let the Event Chair know and we will find a table for you!
Round tables are available for 10-12 seated guests and larger, rectangular tables for 13-40 guests. So invite away! We want to fill the Ballroom!

Round lunch tables for 10 guests are provided with a white linen tablecloth. Tablecloths for the larger round tables and all rectangle tables are provided or rented by the Table Host.
All tables include linen napkins, utensils, and water and iced tea glasses.
Choosing a theme for your table and/or Centerpiece is optional. Stay as simple or as extravagant as you want. Many add decorations, table runners, treats, favors, etc. to their tables. Feel free to be as creative as you wish.
Every table requires a unique Centerpiece that also serves as a prize for the Opportunity Drawings. The value of these centerpieces/prizes vary from $50 to over $2,000. Due to the large size of some of these centerpieces and different ways of displaying them a "schoolie" (small table" may be requested to sit along side your lunch table. . Table hosts should provide a cover for the added schoolie.
Centerpieces / Opportunity Drawing Prize items are usually donated by the guests from that table. This includes donations received by restaurants, stores, friends, etc.
Here is a list of some of the past themes that we have seen at this event. Feel free to use one of these or come up with a new one:
Christmas, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Harvest, sports themes, beach / ocean themes, movie themes, western themes, pink theme, Hawaiian themes, Shopping or cooking theme, pajama party theme, the list has no end!
One person from every table serves as the Table Host.
Table hosts serve as the organizer of the table they are sitting at.
Hosts keep track of the guests at their table and communicate any news, questions, requests, etc. to and from the event chair.
Hosts coordinate the Centerpiece / Opportunity Drawing Prize. The value of the Centerpiece may vary from $50 to sometimes over $2,000. It is recommended that hosts ask their guests to contribute to the centerpiece and/or seek donations to create this item. The table decor and centerpiece can be of whatever theme you would wish.
Hosts are encouraged to gather payment/checks from their guests and submit them all at one time to the event chair.
Preorder your raffle tickets for fast will-call pickup! For an additional donation, the tickets will be prelabeled for you at pickup! No need to write your name or bring your address labels!
